“The Garden of Good and Evil”, Aitch na Objectos Misturados

The Garden of Good and Evil is the title of a new series of artworks that Aitch is planning on exhibiting, this year, all around the globe. It is an ongoing process that draws its essence from mundane experiences filtered through an allegorical point of view.
Inspired by naturalistic illustrations, Oriental textile patterns, legends and folklore, Aitch creates intricate beasts with bodies composed of many small creatures and elements all evoking fantastical scenes of splendor and malice.
The itinerant exhibition starts at Objectos Misturados on the 13th of April and will continue its journey through Portugal, Canada, Austria and Germany.

Bio

Romanian artist and illustrator, Aitch has been part of numerous art shows in cities like Vienna, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Aalborg, San Jose, etc. She started drawing weird chubby fantastic creatures during her studies at the University of Art and Design in Timisoara, as a sort of subversive reaction to the academical ways of treating human anatomy.
Her artistic work ranges from pink, cute, elegant, to sometimes creepy, semireligious, bizarre characters, mixed in surrealistic sets.
She also applies her experience with graphics, painting and character design, in designing, making, sewing plush toys and even her own collections of clothes, often showed in fairs and stores in Bucharest, Berlin, Hannover, Barcelona or Madrid.

No dia da inauguração contamos ainda com a presença da Nuvem, cake design.

O gosto pela culinária está-me no sangue e apesar do esforço familiar de o neutralizar ele acabou mesmo por vir à tona! Sou filho e neto de pasteleiros e desde que me lembro que mergulho em doces! A minha queda para a veia artística cedo apareceu, mas foi canalizada para outros percursos – a arquitectura.
Devia ter começado a perceber a mudança quando passei a comprar mais revistas, livros e blogs de culinária do que de arquitectura e quando o meu canal eleito de televisão se tornou o foodnetwork.
