“Scheherazade”, Noa Snir na Objectos Misturados

A journey through the eyes of Scheherazade, the storyteller of 1001 Nights.
A young girl arrives at the king’s palace with her sister. She knows countless virgins have been killed before her, having failed to satisfy the heart-broken, rage-possessed king. She is allowed access to all the decadent luxuries the place has to offer during the day, but as soon as night sets, it is up to Scheherazade to keep herself and her sister alive to see another sunrise.

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Noa Snir is currently residing Berlin where she works as a freelance illustrator. She has worked with magazines world-wide and exhibited her work in Tel-Aviv, Berlin and New York. Noa’s work is frequently inspired, both thematically and visually, by the old world. She is interested in naive and folk art, religious art and art brut – art created by people who did not perceive themselves as artists.

O gosto pela culinária está-me no sangue e apesar do esforço familiar de o neutralizar ele acabou mesmo por vir à tona! Sou filho e neto de pasteleiros e desde que me lembro que mergulho em doces! A minha queda para a veia artística cedo apareceu, mas foi canalizada para outros percursos – a arquitectura.
Devia ter começado a perceber a mudança quando passei a comprar mais revistas, livros e blogs de culinária do que de arquitectura e quando o meu canal eleito de televisão se tornou o foodnetwork.
