About Beautiful Us Beautiful Us is a playful, magical series of illustrations in which i mix my appetite for made-up flora and fauna with human anatomical details. I am focusing on watercolour representations of body parts, bringing out the symbolic resonance of each portion. It is a way of presenting the human anatomy in more poetic visual terms, as a reaction to the academic and strict ways of representation that are usually taught in school. Inspired by her “travels, naturalistic illustrations, Naive Art, childhood memories, legends and folklore”, romanian illustrator Aitch creates incredibly moving watercolor artworks on paper, characters cut out of wood, painted murals and intricate patterns and illustrations for clients allover the world. ••
